About The Position

Scout Motors is bringing back an iconic American vehicle, electrifying and digitizing it with American innovation. We are seeking a Software Engineer to build Android/AOSP/AAOS apps, frameworks, and SDKs that deliver a seamless, Scout-branded HMI experience for our vehicles' digital systems, which include navigation, EV charging, media, HVAC, cameras, voice, connectivity, and vehicle controls.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in computer science or related field
• 10+ years of Android app development
• Expertise in Android OS, AOSP/AAOS, Kotlin/Java, and embedded app design
• Pragmatic problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and drives high-quality solutions
• Excellent communicator and collaborator with a focus on quality and impact

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Kotlin/Java Android apps and frameworks for infotainment
• Deliver features quickly using test-driven development
• Collaborate with UX, product, instrument cluster, and mobile teams to ensure end-to-end quality
• Contribute to architecture, code reviews, and team best practices
