About The Position

The Futures Engineering team at ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Staff Product Manager. This team operates at the intersection of R&D, applied engineering, and thought leadership within ServiceNow Futures. They are responsible for building proofs of concept, running customer and partner workshops, and producing technical and strategic collateral to position ServiceNow as an innovation-driven company. The team functions within an Agile/Scrum model and includes Product Managers and Software Engineers. The purpose of this role is to interface with stakeholders and customers to develop proofs of concept, applications, and thought leadership collateral. This involves understanding the evolving business and technology landscape, conducting R&D on new applications of the ServiceNow platform, and analyzing how emerging technologies will shape the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Requirements

7+ years experience in customer-facing roles (within or outside the tech industry)
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience creating and delivering thought leadership content — webinars, white papers, published articles, conference presentations, and customer workshops
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and working in a distributed team
ServiceNow platform experience preferred
Deep business and industry acumen, with the ability to translate market and technology trends into fact-based recommendations
Track record of original research, writing, or academic/industry publishing is a strong plus
Autonomy to select tools, platforms, and approaches for design and development within DT/ServiceNow technology guidelines
Experience mentoring peers

Responsibilities

Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand business and technical challenges, gather requirements, and manage end-to-end projects: engagement management, architecture, design, testing, blueprints/collateral and delivery/handoff.
Work in partnership with and Innovation Officers/Futurists, Software Engineers and account teams.
Lead research initiatives into novel technologies and business trends, evaluating their implications for the ServiceNow platform and ecosystem; translate findings into actionable product and strategic insight.
Author and publish thought leadership papers, white papers, and technical collateral, grounded in original research, that spark customer/partner and industry imagination and position ServiceNow as an innovation leader.
Represent the team's research externally through articles, presentations, conferences and industry commentary.
Architect and lead customer-facing and internal proofs of concept demonstrating "art of the possible" applications of the ServiceNow platform, in partnership with Software Engineers and Innovation Officers/Futurists.
Plan and lead workshops with customers and partners to translate research and PoC work into interactive engagements that build conviction and drive roadmap influence for ServiceNow Futures and the AI Institute.
Participate in market research and competitive analysis in partnership Futurists/IOs, STEP and other orgs.
Develop operational programs and frameworks to run programs within ServiceNow Futures based on iterative pilots of new ways of working for Futures and AI Institute work.
Contribute to portfolio management, solution design, and requirements definition.
