About The Position

A well-funded B2B SaaS company in the industrial procurement space is looking for a Senior / Staff Product Designer to define how agentic AI capabilities come to life in a product used daily by non-technical procurement professionals. You will join a small, high-craft design team working closely with product managers, engineers, and domain experts to make AI feel natural, trustworthy, and genuinely useful — not just powerful on paper. This is a high-impact role: clear, reliable design determines whether sophisticated AI features are adopted and whether customers realise measurable savings in their procurement operations.

Requirements

  • Portfolio: Strong track record of shipped product design work, ideally in B2B SaaS, complex workflows, or data-heavy / AI-driven products.
  • Breadth: Solid capabilities across visual design, interaction design, product thinking, and code-based prototyping — a "block-shaped" designer rather than a single-specialty T-shape.
  • Prototyping: Practical experience building runnable prototypes beyond Figma that communicate intent and interactive behaviour.
  • AI design thinking: Thoughtful, considered opinions about how AI should appear in products, with a focus on trust, transparency, and appropriate levels of automation.
  • Tooling: Proficiency in Figma (and familiarity with tools such as FigJam, Sketch, or InVision); regular personal use of AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) in research, ideation, and prototyping workflows.
  • Ambiguity: Comfortable inventing new patterns for novel, undefined problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing for non-technical users in complex B2B domains, or prior work on agentic / autonomous AI features.

Responsibilities

  • Define how agentic capabilities present in the app — from conveying "the agent is working" to surfacing what it found and recommending next steps.
  • Design interaction patterns where AI and human judgment collaborate, not compete.
  • Produce short-horizon vision work (3–6 months) as prototypes and tangible artifacts to align and guide the team.
  • Raise product craft and coherence as engineering velocity and feature output increase.
  • Work directly in code for last-mile polish — check out PRs and tweak interactions before shipping.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and procurement domain experts to translate complex workflows into usable, delightful experiences.
  • Define and maintain design systems and component libraries to ensure consistency at scale.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform product decisions.
