About The Position

As Joby scales, we are seeking a Senior or Staff Recruiter to own full-cycle recruiting for high-leverage business, operational, and executive roles across finance, people, marketing, business development, and operations. Partnering directly with senior leaders, you will drive searches end-to-end from initial outreach to signed offer. This role is ideal for a data-driven recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves the hunt, and has the interpersonal skills and executive credibility to engage and close exceptional talent foundational to Joby’s growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), combined with a minimum of 8 years of full-cycle recruiting experience for G&A/Business functions in fast-paced environments (including 2+ years recruiting executive-level talent); 10+ years preferred for Staff level
  • Proven ability to partner with, advise, and influence C-level executives and senior business leaders
  • Demonstrated expertise in utilizing data-driven decision-making, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and CRM tools to drive recruitment strategy and pipeline management
  • Ability to work on-site in Santa Cruz, CA or Marina, CA a minimum of 3 days per week

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for specialized and executive-level positions, overseeing searches end-to-end from initial strategy alignment to final offer negotiation
  • Develop innovative, scalable talent pipeline strategies and candidate engagement frameworks to attract top-tier passive talent across the industry
  • Establish standard selection criteria and structured interview processes to ensure rigorous, objective, and equitable evaluation of candidates across teams
  • Analyze recruitment data and talent market intelligence to influence hiring decisions, optimize pipeline conversion rates, and advise senior leadership on strategic workforce review
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and partner to the broader People Team, mentoring junior team members and continuously refining overall talent acquisition methodologies
