About The Position

Designs and develops scalable software systems and provides technical leadership for complex engineering initiatives. Leads technical designs, guides engineers, evaluates trade-offs, and collaborates across Product, Architecture, Operations, and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience with Java, microservices, APIs, databases, and distributed systems
  • Experience with NFV, virtual networking, BGP, orchestration, and cloud-native platforms
  • Experience leading technical designs and guiding engineers through complex implementations
  • Strong problem-solving, technical decision-making, collaboration, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with network/security vendors, VNF images, onboarding, upgrades, and migrations
  • Strong knowledge of virtual networking, BGP, routing, VLAN/VXLAN, and network connectivity
  • Experience with network/VNF performance characterization, throughput, latency, and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of high availability, resiliency, and recovery architectures
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containers, virtualization, and cloud-native architectures
  • Exposure to AI/LLM models and AI-enabled application architectures

Responsibilities

  • Leads architecture and design for complex features and services
  • Provides technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams
  • Drives technical discussions and helps teams make sound design decisions
  • Evaluates technical trade-offs across scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability
  • Mentors engineers and promotes engineering best practices
  • Collaborates across teams to drive end-to-end solutions
  • Designs and develops solutions using Java, microservices, APIs, and databases
  • Drives integration across multiple services and platforms
  • Leads design and code reviews and promotes software quality
  • Designs orchestration and automation workflows
  • Troubleshoots complex issues across application, infrastructure, and networking layers
  • Strong understanding of NFV concepts and VNF lifecycle management
