About The Position

Renesas is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Application Architect to serve as its global technical leader for Drone and UAV applications. The role defines and drives end-to-end system architectures for next-generation UAV platforms, identifies emerging market opportunities, shapes solution roadmaps, and promotes differentiated semiconductor and software solutions. It serves as the primary technical authority for Drone and UAV applications, connecting customer requirements, ecosystem needs, aviation regulations, and semiconductor product engineering. The position also guides solution strategy, ecosystem engagement, reference-platform development, and semiconductor adoption across industrial, commercial, and defense UAV markets. It collaborates across product and engineering teams and with external customers and partners, and contributes to product roadmaps, reference architectures, evaluation platforms, proofs of concept, application notes, and reusable solution components. The role provides technical mentoring and design guidance throughout development and customer engagement activities. Renesas describes itself as an embedded semiconductor solution provider with a global team of over 21,000 engineers and problem solvers in more than 30 countries. The company highlights a collaborative international environment and offers competitive compensation, flexible working models, and long-term career development opportunities. Remote work is not available. The role may involve technology subject to U.S. export controls; Renesas may need to obtain a U.S. government export license before releasing technology to certain individuals.
