About The Position

Flex is a growth-stage FinTech company building a payment layer for life's financial obligations. The Senior Staff Analytics Engineer will help stakeholders across Flex find the data they need to make decisions by developing data products and solutions. The role partners with analysts, engineers, product managers, and others to define requirements and is accountable for delivering the resulting data products. As part of the broader Data team, this position supports multiple areas across Flex and reports to the Director, Analytics Engineering. This is a hybrid position with on-site expectations of three days per week at Flex's New York headquarters. Candidates outside the NY/NJ area may be eligible for relocation assistance. For candidates located in the Tier 1 NYC/Bay Area markets, the base salary range is $200,000–$240,000 USD; pay is adjusted by geographic market for other locations.

Requirements

At least 6 years of experience as an analytics engineer or equivalent, with a track record of shipping high-quality products and features at scale.
Expert knowledge of SQL, data warehouses (Flex uses Snowflake), and writing efficient SQL queries.
Familiarity with common BI tools, preferably Sigma Computing, Tableau, or Mode.
Expert proficiency with dbt or a similar data modeling tool.
Strong understanding of the analytics engineering development cycle, including data modeling, version control, documentation, testing, codebase development best practices, and CI/CD.
Experience in the fintech space.

Responsibilities

Lead development of data models to consume, transform, and expose data to stakeholders and systems across the company.
Collect business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, and design data solutions.
Set company-wide standards for data structure, quality, and expectations.
Contribute to Flex's data culture by influencing processes, systems, and tools that enable scalable decision-making.
