About The Position

As an AI Deployment Strategist (Customer Outcome Leader) within Forward Deployment Engineering, you are the single-threaded business owner responsible for driving realized value, user adoption, and long-term expansion across enterprise AI engagements. The role owns business realization while partnering with Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs), who build and optimize technical architecture. It bridges executive AI vision and day-to-day operational reality, ensuring solutions deliver measurable ROI and shielding technical teams from reactive firefighting and unmanaged scope creep. The position is remote and involves working with enterprise clients, including global consultancies and Fortune 500 enterprises. The strategist serves as a peer and strategic advisor to client executive sponsors, governs parallel technical and organizational workstreams, redesigns workflows around AI capabilities, drives organizational change and adoption, and identifies opportunities to scale successful deployments across client accounts.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of experience in management consulting, forward-deployed engineering, technical account management, or forward-deployed strategic roles at high-growth B2B SaaS or AI companies.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise AI deployments, large language models (LLMs), multi-agent systems, and digital workflow transformation.
  • Proven track record of aligning, advising, and holding accountable C-suite executives and senior enterprise stakeholders.
  • Ability to construct business cases, model ROI, design KPIs, and re-engineer complex operational business processes.
  • Ability to communicate fluently with engineers, understand technical trade-offs such as latency versus accuracy, guardrail evaluation, and data integration patterns, and translate technical complexity into business impact.
  • Strong background in organizational design, user adoption, and driving behavioral change across large operational teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end business success, ROI realization, and user adoption across high-impact enterprise accounts.
  • Establish baseline metrics and target KPIs, then measure, track, and present realized financial and operational value to client executives.
  • Serve as the primary peer and strategic advisor to client executive sponsors, including CIOs, CTOs, Chief AI Officers, and business unit leads.
  • Unite and govern parallel workstreams, including agent orchestration, guardrails and security, data pipelines, UI integration, and change management, under a strategic roadmap.
  • Control engagement scope, manage client expectations, and translate ad-hoc requests into structured roadmap decisions.
  • Maintain clear operational boundaries and structured delivery cadences to prevent reactive firefighting by technical teams.
  • Analyze client operating models to identify high-value business problems and redesign operational workflows around AI capabilities.
  • Manage organizational change, address user inertia, and realign decision rights to promote end-user adoption of AI tools.
  • Conduct user feedback loops to refine business solutions, ensure outputs meet operational standards, and drive change management programs.
  • Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers to translate business requirements into actionable technical user stories.
  • Own executive stakeholder management, business politics, and operational blockers so engineers can focus on technical architecture, evaluations, and system reliability.
  • Identify adjacent high-value enterprise use cases to expand account footprint after initial deployment.
  • Turn successful proofs of concept into multi-year, enterprise-wide production deployments.
