About The Position

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Staff for Advanced Analytics to provide critical support in growing our guest app experience. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Guest App and work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple cross-functional teams. The Senior Staff will lead the data strategy of the innovation of the promotional experience of our guest app, identifying new ways to improve conversion, and developing a multi-product app experience. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of business acumen and data science expertise.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years experience in advanced analytics, preferably in marketplace and/or travel industries.
  • Deep technical expertise in data analysis, experimentation, causal inference, and familiarity with LLMs.
  • Deep domain expertise in one area or broad expertise in multiple domain areas.
  • Robust business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders and conveying complex concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and influence across functions.
  • An agile, growth-minded approach, demonstrated through a history of driving projects from ideation to impact.
  • A quantitative undergraduate degree is required; an advanced degree is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key analytics partner to the senior stakeholders, providing data-driven insights to guide key strategic decisions.
  • Ensure clarity of communication and strategic alignment on analytics initiatives.
  • Elevate craft and analytical excellence at the analytics team level on advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, experimentation, and metric frameworks.
  • Collaborate with teams including Strategic Finance, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Product Marketing in addition to other cross-functional teams.
  • Solve large, open ended critical business questions without known prior solutions.
  • Proactively identify under-invested areas with opportunities and drive XFN alignment on investment.
  • Design, execute, and analyze complex experiments (A/B tests and quasi-experiments) to measure feature impact and inform product iteration.
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to increase efficiency and automate repetitive analytical tasks where appropriate.
