About The Position

The Senior Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of a fast-paced commercial finance environment. This individual will bring a strong foundation in GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger management, with the ability to operate independently and collaboratively across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field required
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting, industry accounting, or commercial finance/consulting
Demonstrated experience with month-end close, general ledger analysis, and financial statement preparation
QuickBooks expertise required
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Excel PivotTables and VLookups, GAAP application, and full-cycle accounting functions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders

Nice To Haves

experience with factoring or ABL software is a strong plus
CPA designation preferred; candidates actively pursuing licensure will also be considered

Responsibilities

Lead month-end close processes, including general ledger analysis, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Support daily accounting operations and ensure timely completion of all month-end deliverables
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions in accordance with company policies and GAAP standards
Prepare and deliver financial reports, budget analyses, revenue summaries, and variance reporting for management review
Conduct cash flow analysis and develop short- and long-term forecasting to support business planning and liquidity management
