About The Position

Slide Insurance is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to play a key role in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strengthening accounting processes within a dynamic P&C environment. The role involves supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, preparing and analyzing financial statements according to GAAP and Statutory (NAIC) requirements, and assisting with regulatory filings and compliance with insurance reporting standards. The position also includes responsibilities in reinsurance accounting, evaluating financial impacts of transactions, strengthening internal controls, and supporting audit readiness. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support business initiatives is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in Property & Casualty insurance, preferably homeowners
• Knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting (NAIC reporting)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively
