About The Position

This role involves conducting inventory valuation, working with manufacturing on inventory control issues, and developing standard costs and product costing. The Senior Staff Accountant will also develop and/or improve costing systems, assist with period closings and audits, and prepare and distribute weekly booking and schedule reports. Additionally, the position requires preparing various financial reports and analyses and serving as a liaison with Engineering, Field Service, Manufacturing, and Sales.

Responsibilities

Analyze gross margin by product groups and produce relevant financial reports.
Assist with developing standard costs.
Conduct inventory valuation and work with manufacturing on inventory control issues, including cycle counting.
Assist with financial accounting close by performing inventory valuation, making journal entries and reconciling accounts.
Distribute weekly booking and schedule reports.
Calculate partial billings.
Track RA receipts, warranty, and freight expenses and provide appropriate financial reports.
Serve as liaison with Engineering, Field Service, Manufacturing and Sales.
Maintain fixed asset database.
Ongoing development and maintenance of accounting database.
Concur administration and Diners Club reconciliation.
Serve as backup to A/P and A/R.
Participate in year-end audit.
