About The Position

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements and management of the monthly close process. You will work closely with key stakeholders, management, and other members of the Finance team to provide financial information and guidance for decision making. This job may include supervisory responsibilities including the supervision, coaching and development of up to 5 team members. As a people manager, you will coach and develop employees in alignment with company policies and values, using corrective action where needed. You will be the direct contact for team questions and concerns and will support your team to maximize operational success.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience with financial analysis reporting.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with intermediate to advance skills in Excel.
• Highly proficient with accounting software.
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SAGE products, Fixed Asset CS, Biz Insight.

Responsibilities

• Prepares GAAP financial statements.
• Reviews monthly reconciliations for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepares assigned monthly financial reports.
• Manages audits and appraisals, including fielding auditor questions and collection of PBC’s.
• Provides guidance to other Finance staff regarding treatment of financial transactions.
• Provides additional analysis of financial information, as necessary.
