About The Position

Abbott Nutrition is seeking a Senior Specialist Project Manager to support global ingredient qualification initiatives that help ensure access to high-quality ingredients across our product portfolio. In this role, you will lead complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through completion, partnering with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive efficient execution, mitigate risks, and support business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • 5+ years of related experience leading complex, global projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience managing ingredient qualification activities, including pre-qualification, supplier assessment, ingredient assessment, finished product assessment, approval, and communication processes.
  • Understanding of quality systems, regulatory requirements, and compliance-driven environments.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with global, cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience driving project outcomes without direct authority.
  • Experience working directly with external suppliers and business partners.
  • Strong integration and coordination skills across multiple functions and workstreams.
  • Experience with Power BI, SharePoint, Planview, Devex, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in the food, nutrition, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global ingredient qualification projects from initiation through completion, ensuring milestones and timelines are achieved.
  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional project teams to support ingredient qualification activities.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, resource tracking, and performance metrics.
  • Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, and communicate proactively with leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with external suppliers to obtain quality, compliance, and technical documentation required for ingredient qualification.
  • Utilize project management and business systems to execute projects and track progress.
  • Drive alignment across global stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and timely decision-making.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
  • Support a culture of compliance, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the ingredient qualification process.
