About The Position

To lead and manage end to end concept creation, development and delivery of all MTN fixed, new business products and innovations. Services will be developed to enrich customer value proposition to stimulate revenue and improve customer satisfaction. Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Software Engineering , Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Computing, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited University

Responsibilities

  • Manage the process and delivery of all fixed and new business products as per the products and services roadmap and MTN strategy.
  • Responsible for the lifecycle management of all fixed, new business and innovations in post launch mode.
  • Monitors and reports on the market, competitor innovations and technological advancements for the purpose of identifying potential products and services for development.
  • Manages inter-departmental relationships between marketing and partners in Network, IT and Finance to confirm technical feasibility; with Business Intelligence team for economic feasibility as required; and with Customer Experience to ensure that all customer-centric support structures are in place.
  • Manage enhancements & changes to existing fixed product propositions with input from all stakeholders within the value chain and operational streams.
  • Support the fixed and new business teams in their function of business case/motivation formulation for proposed products.
  • Supports the fixed and new business teams in their go-to-market plans and readiness of new products.
  • To manage all testing of the fixed and new business products and coordinate with the Network, IT, Customer Experience and revenue assurance for completion and consensus product testing prior to go-to-market.
  • Support the fixed and new business teams responsible for maintaining up-to-date product information on all subscriber touchpoints for all products in the portfolio.
  • Tracks performance of products/services against budget in terms of performance, uptake, and profit, and liaise with relevant areas to develop and implement actions for improvement of performance.
  • Supports the segment managers in the decision making for continuity/end-of-life management of product and service offerings as part of the lifecycle management role.
  • Develop and maintain metrics & reporting mechanisms to monitor fixed and new products performance.
  • Manages marketing & product research around customer insights and market share and exploit findings for the benefit of fixed and new product uptake.
  • Analyses and report on new technological trends and innovations.
  • Analyses and reports on key internal and external performance indicators.
  • Develop processes to facilitate optimal functioning of fixed products.
  • Identify trends/patterns pertaining to customer requests and needs and filter this information through to relevant business areas to continually improve all aspects of service delivery.
