Senior Specialist, Municipal Trading
About The Position
We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Municipal Trading. This role is located in New York, NY. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Provides assistance to the trading desk with client order execution. Liaises with support full allocation, settles issues on the life cycle of the trade. Facilitates orders for internal departments. Provides initial recommendations on the pricing of securities. May execute smaller or less complex trades and determine appropriate prices for transactions. Assists in the trading and management of a book of business. Functions independently with delegated responsibilities from more senior traders, which includes the pricing of securities and management of capital risk to maximize returns. Executes all correspondence requisites with a basic understanding of the underlying business and specific client needs. Tracks trades and corrects routine trade problems. Completes assigned research assignments for the Trading function. Handles routine client inquires and run reports as necessary. No direct reports.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 0-3 years of total work experience preferred.
- Experience in trading or brokerage preferred.
