About The Position

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Municipal Trading. This role is located in New York, NY. In this role, you’ll make an impact by providing assistance to the trading desk with client order execution, liaising with support for full allocation, and settling issues on the life cycle of the trade. You will facilitate orders for internal departments and provide initial recommendations on the pricing of securities. You may execute smaller or less complex trades and determine appropriate prices for transactions. You will assist in the trading and management of a book of business and function independently with delegated responsibilities from more senior traders, which includes the pricing of securities and management of capital risk to maximize returns. You will execute all correspondence requisites with a basic understanding of the underlying business and specific client needs, track trades and correct routine trade problems, complete assigned research assignments for the Trading function, and handle routine client inquiries and run reports as necessary. No direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 0-3 years of total work experience preferred.
  • Experience in trading or brokerage preferred.

Responsibilities
