About The Position

We are seeking a Facilities Project Coordinator to support the Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) in Huntsville, Alabama. This role coordinates facilities projects, equipment movement, contractor oversight, and workspace modifications that support production and site readiness. The coordinator works with Facilities Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance, EHS, and external contractors to meet project milestones, safety requirements, and operational needs. The position calls for a proactive, organized individual with hands-on experience supporting facilities or construction activities in a manufacturing environment. The role includes 10% travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of facilities management/project coordination experience; alternatively, a graduate degree and at least 4 years of such experience; or, in lieu of a degree, at least 10 years of such experience.

• Working knowledge of facility systems, utilities, and project coordination practices.
• Experience coordinating work with contractors and cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with AutoCAD or facility layout tools.
• Experience supporting equipment installation or relocation projects.
• Familiarity with safety permitting, risk assessments, or contractor management processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facilities projects, including equipment relocations, infrastructure upgrades, workspace modifications, and utility support activities.
• Serve as a daily point of contact for contractors and ensure compliance with site safety processes, work permits, and scheduling requirements.
• Support planning, scheduling, and execution of facility-related work while minimizing disruption to production operations.
• Track project progress, manage documentation, and help resolve delays or obstacles.
• Assist with capital planning activities and development of project justifications.
• Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and EHS to ensure facility work meets safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate drawings, layouts, and records related to facility changes in partnership with engineers.
• Support troubleshooting of facility-related issues and coordinate corrective actions with internal teams and contractors.
