Senior Specialist - Community and Government Relations

Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in stakeholder relations, community engagement or public affairs
- Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure or similar sectors
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Environmental Studies, Community Development, or in a relevant field
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments
- Project management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of permitting and regulatory processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
- Lead stakeholder engagement and maintain relationships with communities, governments and partners
- Organize and facilitate public meetings, workshops and consultations
- Develop communication materials and engagement strategies for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, battery storage, and transmission infrastructure
- Support permitting processes and public affairs initiatives
- Monitor stakeholder sentiment and manage issues proactively
- Collaborate with project development, environmental, engineering, permitting, and construction teams to align engagement with project timelines
- Identify and support community partnerships and investment initiatives
- Maintain stakeholder data and report on engagement outcomes
