About The Position

Our manufacturing site in Chaska, MN is seeking a new Senior Specialist, Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team. In this role, the new hire will drive meaningful change by leading continuous Improvement initiatives for the site and report directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager. This role will be pivotal in guiding the site through complex transformation initiatives by delivering advanced process improvements, embedding a culture of continuous improvement, and enabling sustainable business results. It is ideal for whoever we hire into this role to have strong change management skills, and deep Lean / Six Sigma expertise to help the Chaska manufacturing site optimize their operational performance, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive long-term value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related Sciences degrees, Operations, Supply Chain
  • 3 to 7+ Years Established Continuous Improvement Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated background in Lean Manufacturing (Must)
  • Six Sigma analytical methodologies (Preferred)
  • Strong data analysis and SPC expertise
  • Strong problem analysis/solving skills as well as verbal and written communication skills is highly desired
  • Strong proficiency in Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and root cause analysis
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, AutoCAD, and data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, MS Office/Excel)
  • The ideal candidate will have exposure to injection molding, mechanical assembly, or machining processes

Responsibilities

  • Lead process assessments and process mapping, using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and root causes, and develop actionable recommendations that drive measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Manage multiple operational excellence projects simultaneously, coordinating cross-functional teams and resources.
  • Develop project charters, define deliverables, manage timelines, and ensure execution aligns with strategic objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with site leaders and front-line employees to understand business needs, secure buy-in, and drive change adoption.
  • Partner with Site leadership to design and implement change management strategies, communication plans, and training programs to facilitate seamless transitions and maximize adoption.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to inform recommendations and measure project impact.
  • Present findings and insights to diverse audiences through compelling presentations and reports.
  • Mentor and train manufacturing teams in operational excellence tools, methodologies, and mindsets, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and self-sufficiency.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring sustained results and identifying further improvement opportunities.
