Corgan is actively recruiting a dynamic Senior Doors + Hardware Specialist to join the firm as part of our Technical Services team. Tackle these responsibilities alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate to achieve outstanding results. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of client interaction experience required
  • Knowledge of major industry manufactures of doors, frames, hardware, access control systems and their various performance characteristics and appropriate applications
  • Knowledge of door schedules, specification hardware sets, and submittal hardware schedule
  • Knowledge of industry door and hardware finishes, DHI standards, and access controls
  • Knowledge of national, state, and local building codes as well as technical familiarity with hardware manufacturers’ most current products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
  • AutoCAD and REVIT a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • CSI CDT Certified Document Technologist preferred.
  • DHI DHIA Door + Hardware Industry Associate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality assurance and quality control of hardware specifications and sets.
  • Partner with design team to determine project door and hardware requirements for client’s needs for security, function, aesthetics, and cost while complying with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with review of door and hardware submittets prepared by others for compliance with contract documents and project requirements.
  • Review drawings and specifications to ensure they conform to client’s hardware standards.
  • Maintain specialist workflow dashboard(s) for all requested door & hardware design & review deliverables.
  • Work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Manage multiple projects at one time with accuracy and high attention to detail.
  • Mentor, provide education and train architectural and interiors technical staff.
