About The Position

The Senior Spatial and Data Intelligence Analyst delivers high-quality data analytics, spatial intelligence and visualisation to support improved service delivery and informed decision making. The role focuses on applying modern technology to enhance data extraction, integration and interactive reporting, improving business intelligence and customer experiences. You will contribute to the development, maintenance and ongoing enhancement of BIOMAP, the agency’s key spatial system, providing contemporary, evidence-based situational awareness across multiple business areas, including emergency response. The role works closely with branches across DPIRD and stakeholders throughout Regional NSW.

Requirements

  • Advanced experience in spatial analytics and the ESRI Suite, including Experience Builder.
  • Strong capability in Power BI, including data modelling and dashboard development.
  • Experience working with APIs, relational databases and SQL.
  • Ability to translate business needs into practical data and spatial solutions.
  • A relevant degree in Spatial Information or GIS, supported by significant experience.
  • Degree qualification in Spatial Information, or Geographic Information Systems (GIS), with advanced experience in the ESRI Suite including Experience Builder.
  • Advanced Power BI, experience in designing and building data models/schema, and creating interactive and static dashboards.
  • Current Drivers Licence and the ability and willingness to travel.
