Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (an additional 6 years of experience may substitute)
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare supply chain or related industry
  • 5 years of experience in Peri‑Op value analysis, negotiating, contracting, purchasing, or legal contracting, with the ability to lead both tactical and strategic negotiations
  • Strong Peri‑Op product knowledge, including product use, disease states, pricing structures, and revenue/margin impacts
  • High proficiency in financial analytics and data‑driven decision‑making
  • Must be in good standing or able to complete certification within one year in one or more of the following: CPSM, Lean/Six Sigma, Project Management, or a related supply chain/project management field

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sourcing and contracting for perioperative supplies and purchased services across the PHS enterprise.
  • Identify opportunities to improve clinical outcomes, reduce costs, and forecast supply and service utilization.
  • Chair the Perioperative Value Analysis Team (VAT) and drive consensus among physicians, clinical staff, and operational leaders.
  • Manage the full VAT process, including analytics, stakeholder engagement, RFIs/RFPs, evaluations, and recommendations.
  • Draft, negotiate, and implement contracts, including supplier conversions and new product/service rollouts.
  • Oversee new product and service requests, conduct industry research, and coordinate clinical trials.
  • Collaborate with senior executives and physician leaders to evaluate clinical needs and communicate decisions.
  • Ensure standardization and alignment of perioperative supplies and clinical purchased services across the enterprise.
  • Support enterprise cost‑savings, quality improvement, and risk‑mitigation initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with PHS policies and procedures while supporting physician satisfaction and operational excellence.
