Senior Solutions Engineer

RoktNew York, NY
$214,000 - $228,000Onsite

About The Position

Rokt is seeking a Solutions Engineer for its Strategic Key Accounts (SKA) team in New York. This client-facing role will serve as the technical lead for a portfolio of top-tier ecommerce clients, guiding them from initial technical discussions through launch and optimization. The engineer will conduct scoping calls, design integration solutions, deliver technical presentations, respond to security questionnaires, and manage technical relationships with senior client stakeholders. Responsibilities include leading implementation across various SDKs and APIs, translating Rokt's product capabilities into tailored solutions, and acting as the trusted technical advisor. This senior individual contributor role is expected to operate with high autonomy, influence stakeholders, manage risk, and leverage AI for efficiency. The role also offers a path for growth into leadership.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, Technical Account Management, or a related client-facing technical role, ideally in ecommerce, advertising / measurement, MarTech, payments, or platform environments.
  • Demonstrated experience as the technical voice in client-facing conversations: leading scoping calls, running demos, presenting to senior engineering stakeholders, and responding to RFPs and security reviews.
  • Strong technical fluency across web SDKs, mobile SDKs (iOS / Android), REST APIs, server-to-server integrations, event / data flows, and tracking and measurement concepts.
  • Hands-on familiarity with QA / testing methodologies, troubleshooting approaches, and client-facing integration patterns. You can debug a misfiring SDK, read a network trace, and explain what's happening to both an engineer and a CMO.
  • Comfort holding your own in a room with a sophisticated client's engineering team, asking the questions that scope a project correctly, and pushing back constructively when a proposed approach won't work.
  • Strong commercial judgment. You understand how technical execution impacts launch velocity, client trust, revenue growth, and long-term account expansion, and you factor that into the technical decisions you make and the recommendations you give clients.
  • Proven ability to translate technical complexity into clear business trade-offs for non-technical client stakeholders, including marketing leaders, commercial leads, and procurement.
  • AI-forward Builder mindset. You use AI as a force multiplier for client research, RFP responses, technical scoping, documentation, and QA, not as an optional enhancement. You can describe specific AI workflows you've built or adopted that materially changed how you work with clients.
  • High autonomy and ownership. You define priorities within your accounts, make decisions within your domain, escalate only high-risk issues, and keep stakeholders aligned through clear communication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication. You write technical documentation a client engineer can actually use, and you present in client rooms with senior stakeholders without losing the room.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching others through direct mentorship, code / design review, or leading cross-functional efforts through influence.
  • Strong alignment with Rokt values: you Own the Outcome, Bias for Action, Raise the Bar, Start with the Customer, work Better Together, and operate Smart with Humility.
  • Must be willing to work full time (4 days a week minimum) in the New York office.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for a portfolio of SKA accounts, running technical discovery, scoping calls, and integration design sessions directly with the client's engineering, product, and analytics teams.
  • Lead technical presentations, product demos, and integration walkthroughs for senior client stakeholders, including CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and platform leads at Top 200 brands.
  • Design and deliver integration solutions tailored to each client's stack across web SDK, iOS / Android SDK, server-to-server, API, and tracking / event data flows, balancing what's technically optimal with what the client can realistically deploy.
  • Own the technical components of RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, and procurement reviews, partnering with Legal, Security, and Product to deliver accurate, compelling responses on the timelines clients expect.
  • Be the client's escalation path for technical issues post-launch, driving resolution internally and communicating crisp updates back to client stakeholders.
  • Rebuild inherited processes with AI at the centre, defining AI-augmented workflows for client research, RFP responses, technical scoping, documentation, and QA, and own the roadmap for what gets automated next within your domain.
