Senior Solutions Engineer – Systems Integration

AESDayton, OH
$113,000 - $141,525Hybrid

About The Position

The Senior Solutions Engineer – Systems Integration serves as a technical owner for how BESS subsystems come together electrically and functionally in the field, ensuring safe, reliable, and performant operation across diverse project environments. This role is crucial for leading end-to-end systems engineering for BESS products from requirements definition through deployment and operation. The engineer will develop and maintain system-level requirements, interface control documents (ICDs), specifications, and compliance matrices. They will integrate multiple subsystems including energy storage, PCS, safety, controls, and communications. Additionally, the role involves reviewing and approving BESS electrical and controls designs, interpreting and applying applicable BESS safety codes and standards, and supporting prototype builds, certification testing, and production transition. The Senior Solutions Engineer will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of BESS integration practices. In project support, the engineer acts as a technical authority for BESS system architecture and integration, troubleshoots complex issues on deployed assets, performs root cause analysis for field failures, and drives corrective actions. They will also serve as a technical representative supporting the full product lifecycle by participating in permitting and local jurisdiction discussions, managing integration risks, and enabling long-term operational performance improvements. Finally, the role includes delivering technical guidance and training to internal and external teams related to BESS safety and emergency response.
