About The Position

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you’ll act as a strategic technical advisor and trusted partner to our Enterprise sales team and customers. You’ll elevate sales efficiency and customer engagement by delivering deep technical expertise, tailored demos, and customer-specific insights throughout the sales cycle. Working closely with Account Executives, you’ll craft solutions that align 1Password’s capabilities with customer challenges and goals, navigating complex requirements, influencing technical stakeholders, and clearly articulating value from discovery to close. Experience with frameworks like MEDDPICC is a strong plus, as you’ll help qualify opportunities, define technical success criteria, and drive alignment within deals. This role requires agility and foresight, identifying opportunities, positioning our product suite, and ensuring proposed solutions meet technical needs. You’ll also collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Support to strengthen customer-facing resources. As a senior team member, you’ll mentor peers, sharing knowledge to uplevel both technical expertise and soft skills across the Solutions Engineering team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in customer-facing technical sales roles within a B2B environment.
  • Proven track record of selling into Fortune-100 customers.
  • Experience in a multi-product SaaS environment.
  • Proven track record in enterprise sales, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and support closing complex deals.
  • Skilled at translating technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills across sales, product, marketing, and support teams.
  • Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and navigate dynamic customer conversations and requirements.
  • Experienced with modern sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC for opportunity qualification and deal progression.
  • High degree of autonomy with the ability to manage multiple projects, maintain quality, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to mentor colleagues and share best practices to support team growth.
  • Familiarity with SaaS, security concepts, and developer technologies such as SCIM, CLI, SAML/SSO/OAuth, AD, API, SSH and AI (MCP).
  • Must be based in the US, preferably Minnesota or Dallas based but open to CST, MST or PST time zones.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%.

  • Serve as the primary technical advisor/resource within 1Password’s Go-to-Market team.
  • Proactively scope and recommend tailored technical solutions and support that address both expressed and unspoken customer needs—aligning with use cases, business goals, and decision criteria for a variety of Enterprise customers including those on the higher end of the segment.
  • Build strong relationships & deliver technical coaching to Account Executives, empowering them to speak confidently about product capabilities and align messaging with customer challenges, use cases, and requirements.
  • Provide technical education to customers regarding the 1Password suite of products.
