Our engineers are the foundation of success for our customers and our business. We are seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer with a Data Center focus to join our team in Billings, Montana. This role will provide value for our clients in both pre-sales design and post-sales implementation. This team takes ownership for the entire project lifecycle, from discovery and design through deployment, training, and handoff.

Requirements

• Willing to travel 25-50% of the time depending on client needs
• Knowledge of Converged and Hyper-Converged (HCI) solutions
• Knowledge of Storage (Block, File & Object)
• Knowledge of Connectivity (Fibre Channel, iSCSI)
• Knowledge of Virtualization (Design, deploy and maintenance, vSphere, Hyper-V, Virtual network connectivity)
• Knowledge of Data Protection (Veeam, Cohesity, Rubrik)
• Knowledge of Backup and Restore
• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery
• Knowledge of Business Continuity
• Knowledge of Networking (Basic Networking, Fundamentals required for connectivity between data center, hybrid and cloud components)

Nice To Haves

• 8+ years of experience
• Some understanding of Cloud (public & private clouds, Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Baseline understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server components like DHCP, DNS & PKI

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to build a winning strategy for our clients
• Perform necessary Pre-Sales technical functions to create systems designs
• Build Bill of Materials (BoM), create illustrations and diagrams and provide Statements of Work (SoW)
• Relay technical information to both technical and non-technical staff
• Post-Sales Implementation of systems designed
• Produce post Implementation project documentation
• Provide proficient end-user systems administration training (post implementation) of CompuNet installed solutions
• Develop strategic relationships with our key manufacturer Partner SE's
• Listen to and address customer technical challenges and design the right solution that meets the customer business needs
• Maintain existing certifications and grow to new areas with certification
• Participate in all team functions including calls, meetings, events, etc.
