About The Position

EviSmart is seeking a Data Solutions Engineer to establish a single source of truth for customer data. Currently, data resides in multiple systems including the backend, CRM, and lab data. This role is crucial for improving reporting accuracy, streamlining lab onboarding, and ensuring data integrity across the platform. The Data Solutions Engineer will be responsible for reconciling customer data, building integrations, establishing a trusted reporting system, and directly assisting labs with data mapping during onboarding. As the initial goals are met, the scope will expand to owning and scaling customer onboarding and ensuring end-to-end data trustworthiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of professional experience in data analysis, data engineering, or solutions/implementation engineering.
  • Advanced SQL skills (joins, CTEs, window functions, subqueries).
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and workflow automation.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and workflow automation.
  • Hands-on CRM data experience — auditing, cleansing, deduplication, and data migration. HubSpot strongly preferred.
  • Systems integration experience — building or maintaining two-way integrations between platforms (APIs, middleware, sync logic).
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Comfortable running customer-facing working sessions and explaining data configuration to non-technical users.
  • Able to translate customer friction into clear, actionable briefs for engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile customer data across systems, including pulling clean customer lists from the backend into the CRM, auditing HubSpot data, and automating data cleaning processes.
  • Build a live two-way integration between HubSpot and the backend, ensuring automatic data flow and logic management.
  • Establish a trusted central location for generating sales pipeline, retention rate, customer health, and other sales, customer success, and go-to-market reports.
  • Run customer onboarding data-mapping sessions directly with labs.
  • Deliver written briefs to engineering detailing customer friction points during mapping and suggesting fixes for independent lab completion.
  • Coordinate with Customer Success on onboarding sessions and with the contracted HubSpot partner on integration.
  • Grow into owning and scaling customer onboarding as a repeatable machine and ensuring end-to-end data trustworthiness across all systems.
