About The Position

Corning is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to support the development and commercialization of connectivity solutions for a major hyperscale data center customer. In this role, you will work across customer, engineering, and internal business teams to translate technical requirements into practical, scalable solutions.

Requirements

BS in Engineering Related Studies (i.e., Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Optics)
5+ years of experience in telecommunications, data centers, or a related industry
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to distinguish color-coded cabling and optical fiber components
Willingness to travel up to 25% and work outside standard business hours as needed

Nice To Haves

Project management or project coordination experience
Strong knowledge of fiber optic products, structured cabling systems, and related installation practices
Telecom manufacturing experience
Background in engineering services, technical field support, or customer solution development
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive work to completion independently

Responsibilities

Gathering customer requirements and supporting solution development
Acting as a technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams
Coordinating prototype efforts and leading field trials for new products
Developing installation, handling, and testing procedures
Delivering training to customers, design teams, and contractors
Supporting commercialization activities, including documentation, design tools, and cross-functional coordination
