About The Position

The Senior Solutions Architect will work with the Global Risk Management Engineering team and Corporate & Commercial Credit Risk business and technology partners to define and evolve the architecture supporting credit risk systems. The role ensures that adjudication, credit workflow, monitoring, capital and provision calculation, and credit risk reporting platforms are designed to meet evolving business and regulatory requirements while achieving high standards of reliability, scalability, security, and availability. This role is a high-impact role responsible for managing a set of tasks and techniques working as a liaison among various stakeholders. The Senior Solution Architect provides expert advice and counsel to Risk Management/or IT areas on complex issues related to area of specialty. This position may have multiple concurrent initiatives occurring at any one time. The incumbent must ensure high availability, integrity and reliability of programs developed. Incumbent needs to understand the structure, policies, and operations of the organization, and recommend technical / business solutions that streamline risk management processes. Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture roles.
  • 5+ years of experience in Corporate and Commercial Credit Risk, including adjudication, credit workflow, monitoring, capital and provision calculation, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Basel frameworks, IFRS 9 / ECL, capital adequacy, and credit risk governance.
  • Experience designing and delivering architectures for large-scale, data‑intensive and computationally intensive credit risk systems.
  • Proven experience with structured architecture practices, hybrid cloud architectures, and on‑premises to cloud migration.
  • Experience architecting highly distributed, resilient enterprise systems across application, data, integration, and security layers.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Retail and Small Business Credit Risk platforms and processes.
  • Experience with credit decisioning engines, workflow/origination platforms, collateral management systems, and regulatory reporting solutions.
  • Architecture certifications (TOGAF, cloud architecture certifications).

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted architectural advisor to Corporate and Commercial Credit Risk business partners, guiding the use of enterprise platforms, shared services, and industry best practices to support end‑to‑end credit risk management across adjudication, credit approval, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Provide architecture leadership for credit risk technology roadmaps, supporting strategic initiatives such as credit adjudication modernization, workflow automation, risk monitoring enhancements, capital and provision (IFRS 9/ECL) calculation platforms, and regulatory and management reporting.
  • Analyze and translate business, risk, and regulatory requirements into cohesive target‑state solution architectures, ensuring consistency across corporate and commercial credit portfolios while enabling scalability and future extension to retail and small business credit risk.
  • Lead a wide range of technology strategy initiatives such as Applications rationalization, Cloud Migration, Legacy modernization. Synthesize findings and present clear recommendations and roadmaps ensure impactful project outcomes to senior leaders within Global Risk Management and Global Corporate Functions Technology.
  • Ensure simplification and integrity of the credit risk technology landscape, delivering efficiency gains while maintaining compliance with regulatory frameworks such as Basel, IFRS 9 / Expected Credit Loss (ECL), capital adequacy, and internal risk governance standards.
  • Define and govern credit risk data flows and analytics architectures, including data ingestion from core banking systems, credit decisioning engines, collateral systems, and external data providers; support model risk governance for credit adjudication, risk rating, monitoring, stress testing, and capital/provision models.
  • Keeps the Bank safe by ensuring right technology, architecture, data, and infrastructure choices are made that prevents malicious attacks against the Bank’s technology infrastructure.
