About The Position

As a Senior Solutions Architect in GitLab's Southern EMEA team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers in the MEA region, helping them understand how GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform addresses technical requirements and business objectives across the software development lifecycle. You will guide organizations through digital transformation using your technical expertise, knowledge of cloud and modern software development practices, and customer empathy.

Reporting to a regional Solutions Architect Manager and partnering closely with Account Executives and cross-functional teams, you will own technical evaluations, including proofs of value and workshops, shape solution architectures, and share customer feedback with Product Management. The role focuses on successful platform adoption, revenue growth through solution selling, and building long-term customer relationships. The position is remote, with location-based eligibility requirements potentially applying.

Requirements

• Experience in customer-facing technical pre-sales, consulting, or a similar role, guiding customers through solution design and evaluation.
• Proficiency in the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including modern DevSecOps practices and CI/CD workflows.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms, and ability to map platform capabilities to customer use cases.
• Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and related technologies, including deployment, security, and operations options.
• Ability to lead proofs of concept or proofs of value, contribute to tenders or audits, and design and run workshops or value stream assessments.
• Clear technical communication and presentation skills, adaptable to audiences from practitioners to senior business and technical decision makers.
• Ability to build trusted relationships, listen empathetically, and advocate for customers with internal teams.
• Motivation to develop professionally, learn new technologies, deepen GitLab platform expertise, and apply transferable experience from related fields.
• Fluency in Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery, demonstrations, and validation to show how GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform meets customer needs across the software development lifecycle.
• Own technical evaluations, including solution design, proof-of-concept or proof-of-value work, workshop design, and technical contributions to tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams across Italy on account strategies supporting customer acquisition and expansion.
• Build relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders, guide them through GitLab-driven transformation, and help them become advocates for GitLab.
• Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, and cloud practices, challenging existing approaches to improve return on investment.
• Share customer feedback, use cases, and competitive insights with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
• Maintain and extend expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and related cloud technologies, and create reusable examples, guidance, and technical collateral for customers and partners.
• Pursue ongoing learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to improve the impact of the Solutions Architect team.
