About The Position

The Senior Solutions Architect will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end customer road mapping and guiding all phases of customer deployments design. They will play a crucial role in shaping our customers' strategic use of MES, LIMS, Scheduling, and ELN solutions, ensuring that our technology aligns with their business objectives and delivers maximum value. Additionally, they will be involved during the upfront sales process (50%), driving customer high-level requirements definition and base solutions architecture scoping to right size and adequately depict our customers' initial and longer-term ESP solutions design and scope of work. This role will be the primary tactical point of contact for assigned customers during and after ESP deployments.

Requirements

  • Expertise in MES and LIMS Solutions: Extensive experience designing, implementing, orchestration, and supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and requirements.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive customer roadmaps that align with business objectives, demonstrating a commitment to delivering tailored solutions that address client needs and drive success.
  • Sales and Solution Scoping Skills: Experience engaging with customers during the sales process to understand their needs, contribute to solution scoping, and effectively communicate the value of MES and LIMS solutions.
  • Project Management Experience: Strong background in supporting end-to-end Agile deployments, including project planning, resource coordination, and risk management, ensuring successful and timely delivery of solutions.
  • Technical Architecture and Integration: Skilled in designing and architecting technical solutions that integrate MES and LIMS systems with existing infrastructure, demonstrating a capacity to create scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Advanced Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify and address complex technical issues, providing expert guidance and support to ensure smooth deployments and optimal system performance.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of manufacturing and laboratory processes, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executive leadership.

  • For the Senior Solutions Architect role, the expectation is that the experience level is higher and the employee is able to provide a deeper level of guidance and decision making after having been a successful Solutions Architect for several years.

Responsibilities

  • Support and participate in L7’s quality management system (QMS) by complying with the Quality Policy and SOPs, and by meeting L7’s QMS objectives.
  • Engage in and support the sales process (at 50%), connecting with potential customers to understand their requirements and ensure our Orchestration, MES, LIMS, Scheduling, and ELN solutions fit their needs.
  • Drive the solutions scoping, SOW proposal development, project scoping and estimates, support pre-sales demos, and presentations to ensure that our offerings meet customer expectations, content requirements, and L7 ESP’s standard functionality.
  • Ownership of the ESP MES and LIMS User Requirements Specification (URS). Manage the core URS to ensure all MES and LIMS capabilities are accounted for.
  • Working with the customer, support the definition of the Customer specific URS for each scope of work, derived from the core ESP URS, during the Blueprinting / Requirements stage of the project.
  • Design and architect MES, LIMS, Scheduling, and ELN solutions and orchestrations that integrate seamlessly with customers' existing systems and workflows.
  • Generate and manage the development of architectural artifacts, integration plans, content requirements, and deployment strategies to ensure efficient and effective implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Global Systems Architect to ensure adherence to ESP design standards which includes representation within the Architect Guild.
  • Collaborate with assigned customers (upfront) to develop comprehensive roadmaps and delivery phases that align with their business goals and technological needs.
  • Analyze customer requirements and existing processes to design tailored MES, LIMS, Scheduling, and ELN solutions and orchestrations that address specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Provide project team resource definition support and non-tactical oversight of all aspects of assigned customer ESP deployments, ensuring successful Agile implementation of MES/LIMS solutions from initial planning through final delivery.
  • Work closely with internal MES/LIMS/ELN/Scheduling delivery SMEs to ensure the translation of customer requirements into accurate functional product configurations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers during and after initial ESP deployments, providing expert guidance and support to address any technical or operational issues.
  • Monitor the progress of deployments, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Gather feedback from customers and internal teams to identify areas for improvement in our solutions and deployment processes.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, methodologies, and tools to enhance our ESP offerings.
