Requirements

An architect's mindset backed by a builder's credibility.
Ability to whiteboard a complex architecture and validate it in code when needed without relying on PowerPoint.
Intense discipline for technical decision making.
Ability to drive rigorous RFC processes and build cross-team consensus without ever sacrificing speed.
Expertise in complex cloud environments and SaaS ecosystems.
Proficiency in navigating API integrations, distributed data systems, and modern CI/CD practices.
Ability to translate abstract architectural concepts into concrete business value.
Ability to defend technical trade-offs with data and rigorous reasoning for non-technical stakeholders.
Experience structurally changing how a team builds software by making AI part of the operating model.
Experience raising the bar for everyone around you through shared AI-assisted systems.
Understanding of the realities of deploying agents in production.

Responsibilities

Be the architectural authority across Plusgrade, designing the future state systems that integrate generative AI and automation into the core of our business processes.
Author and shepherd RFCs for critical decisions across our AWS and GCP stack.
Define target architectures that simplify our landscape.
Eliminate technical debt by rationalizing redundant tools.
Evaluate emerging technologies like LangChain, CrewAI, and LLM orchestration to intelligently introduce them into our technology landscape of Docker and Kubernetes microservices.
Re-engineer how software gets built by making AI a core architectural component you will orchestrate to optimize code production and solution delivery enterprise-wide.
