About The Position

AWS Canada drives adoption of the AWS cloud across Enterprise customers, enabling organizations to innovate and transform their business. We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to serve as a credible technical leader and strategic advisor, helping customers architect solutions to complex business and technology challenges. In this role, you will partner with senior customer leaders, sales, and cross-functional AWS teams to influence long-term technology strategy and accelerate transformational cloud adoption. You will design end-to-end architectures, lead cross-team solution delivery, and create reusable assets that benefit customers across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to drive strategic impact while working with cutting-edge technologies and solving some of our customers' most complex challenges.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• Deep technical expertise across multiple domains (cloud architecture, data & analytics, AI/ML, software development, security, networking) with ability to make informed trade-off decisions between extensibility, scalability, maintainability, and business value

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Experience working with end user or developer communities
• Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
• Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

• Architect extensible, reusable, and operationally excellent cloud solutions to complex migration, modernization, and innovation challenges
• Build and own strategic relationships with senior customer leaders across business areas, understanding their industry context and business objectives to influence long-term technology strategy and proactively identify opportunities that support business outcomes
• Provide technical leadership across internal and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions, building consensus on technical approaches and negotiating architectural trade-offs to drive measurable business impact
• Develop and deliver technical content such as workshops, prototypes, and presentations and speak at events to help customers evaluate and adopt new technologies
• Advocate for customers by identifying product gaps and feature requests, and work with AWS service teams to help them understand customer needs
