About The Position

Lumen Solutions Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect with a focus on Asset Management to define the end-to-end architecture for asset lifecycle management. This role involves integrating design, construction, operations, and maintenance systems, and leading the creation of a digital thread that connects various platforms. The architect will establish principles, patterns, and reference architectures for engineering and asset-centric domains. Key responsibilities include architecting the integration of platforms such as Hexagon, Bentley, AVEVA, PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter, and ESRI/GeoMedia with EAM systems like IBM Maximo, SAP EAM, and Infor EAM. The role also involves architecting and governing geospatially enabled digital twins and advocating for open standards and interoperability. The Senior Solutions Architect will mentor other architects and present architecture strategies to executive leadership.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or technical leadership roles.
  • Deep experience with asset-intensive industries (e.g., rail, energy, utilities, oil & gas, large infrastructure).
  • Demonstrated success architecting and integrating platforms such as: Engineering Systems: Hexagon SmartPlant, Bentley OpenPlant/iTwin, AVEVA E3D, Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill
  • Demonstrated success architecting and integrating platforms such as: Geospatial Platforms: ESRI ArcGIS, Bentley Map, Hexagon GeoMedia
  • Demonstrated success architecting and integrating platforms such as: Asset Management Systems: IBM Maximo, SAP EAM, Infor EAM
  • Proven experience with digital twin strategy, geospatial intelligence, and digital thread enablement.
  • Strong grasp of data models, metadata management, semantic interoperability, and cloud-native architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Define the end-to-end architecture for asset lifecycle management, integrating design, construction, operations, and maintenance systems.
  • Lead the creation and evolution of a digital thread, connecting PLM/CAD/CAE tools with asset registries, telemetry systems, and enterprise data platforms.
  • Establish principles, patterns, and reference architectures for engineering and asset-centric domains across the enterprise.
  • Architect the integration of platforms including Hexagon (SmartPlant, Smart 3D, EcoSys), Bentley (OpenPlant, iTwin, MicroStation), AVEVA, PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter, and ESRI/GeoMedia with EAM systems such as IBM Maximo, SAP EAM, and Infor.
  • Drive architectural coherence across PLM, BIM, GIS, ERP, and SCADA/OT systems, ensuring lifecycle traceability and operational agility.
  • Architect and govern geospatially enabled digital twins, embedding telemetry, BIM, GIS, and asset metadata to support field operations, planning, and risk management.
  • Support the ingestion and harmonization of spatial data into cloud data lakes and analytics platforms to inform asset strategy.
  • Advocate for open standards and interoperability, including ISO 15926, IFC, CityGML, railML, OAGIS, and BIM maturity levels.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure secure, scalable, and governed asset and engineering data flows.
  • Mentor system, solution, and platform architects across engineering and operations domains.
  • Present architecture strategies to executive leadership and steer enterprise-wide investment in platforms, vendors, and integrations.
