About The Position

The Senior Solid State NMR Scientist provides laboratory support in solid-state NMR (ssNMR) data collection and interpretation for pharmaceutical materials. This role involves applying ssNMR to characterize a broad range of pharmaceutical materials including crystalline and non-crystalline small molecule APIs, excipients, drug product intermediates, and drug products. The scientist will also apply quantitative ssNMR methods to measure components of APIs and drug products. The position requires planning and performing experiments with minimal supervision, collaborating with colleagues in Materials Science to define and implement characterization strategies, and solving scientific problems using contemporary Materials Science experimental techniques. The role also includes contributing to the development of new scientific approaches and knowledge within the Materials Science organization and ensuring contemporaneous and accurate entries are made in the electronic laboratory notebook system according to accepted good practice.
