About The Position

HSBC Global Investment Research (GIR) is seeking a Senior Software Technology Equity Research Analyst to assist with equity coverage of large publicly listed Tech companies. This role involves public market data analysis, financial modelling, relative and fundamental equity valuation, and collaborating with global GIR teams to produce insightful equity and thematic research reports. The purpose of HSBC is to open up a world of opportunity by leveraging unique expertise, capabilities, breadth, and perspectives to create new opportunities for customers, people, investors, communities, and the planet. GIR is an independent research house with a strong focus on Emerging Markets, covering numerous companies, economies, sovereign rates, and currencies globally. They aim to deliver thought leadership and actionable recommendations through local insights, global connectivity, and professional integrity.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in accounting, financial modelling and valuation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to details.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated learner with a strong interest in equity research and the Tech space.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight timelines.
• Collaborative team player with proactive mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant sell-side or buy-side research experience, ideally covering the tech sector.

Nice To Haves

• Master regional language is a plus.
