About The Position

Join the Bluetooth Wireless team to develop systems that improve wireless radio performance and enrich users’ lives. The role focuses on Bluetooth systems and their coexistence with other radios, applying knowledge of wireless communications, signal processing, and software engineering. The engineer will participate in early design phases, influence software design, and provide hardware design recommendations. They will collaborate with teams across hardware, software, firmware, marketing, and performance, and across technologies including Wi-Fi, cellular, Thread, and satellite.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of industry experience.
• Strong experience with Python.
• Broad experience in overall system design and implementation.
• Solid understanding of multithreaded programming and synchronization.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, including debugging in wireless communications environments.
• A master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring team members while leading projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently or in small teams.
• Comfort with managing projects across different domains.

Responsibilities

• Design Bluetooth systems with a focus on wireless aspects.
• Contribute during early design phases, influence software design, and provide hardware design recommendations.
• Specify requirements for design improvements and identify new areas for enhancement.
• Design and implement new features.
• Define, plan, and design overall system architectures and protocols for products.
• Work cross-functionally with other software teams and partners.
• Debug failures found during field, interoperability, and type-approval testing.
• Mentor team members while leading projects.
