About The Position

The City of Irving Information Technology Department is seeking a qualified individual to join the team to support Fire department software systems. Duties will primarily be serving as a software business analyst – facilitating consultations, implementations, configuration setup, modifications, end user support, vendor facilitations, report writing and upgrades. Duties also include assisting in software system implementation projects and tasks as well as providing for maintenance and upgrade plans of all software systems assigned. Duties will require excellent communication and phenomenal customer service skills; a quality work ethic; and the ability to be analytical and results oriented, and to interact and facilitate support situations to expected and positive results between department customers and technology vendors.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, from an accredited college or university with major course work in Information Systems or a closely related field.
A minimum of three years of compatible technology experience required.
Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Class C Texas driver’s license.
Must be able to complete CJIS Security training within the first month of hiring.
Must not have any criminal conviction above the grade of a Class B misdemeanor or any Class B misdemeanor within the past 10 years; other convictions may also be considered.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with Microsoft and SQL Server based environments.
Proficiency with writing SQL scripts and SSRS reports.
Ability to build SQL stored procedures.
Hardware break/fix and MDT support competency.
