Boeing•Berkeley, MO
•$198,050 - $267,950

About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Software Lab Readiness and Integration Engineer to support the A-MH program in Berkeley, Missouri. The role provides senior technical leadership for software and lab readiness across on-site, virtual, and remote laboratories and integration environments used for integration, test, and demonstration activities for a complex aerospace program. The engineer coordinates program-wide readiness to help ensure that the correct approved software baselines and capabilities are available in the appropriate environments when needed, and that they are compatible with other software, interfaces, infrastructure, and system elements in those environments. The role partners with software configuration management and test stakeholders to understand baseline status, release content, and planned changes that affect readiness, but does not directly execute software configuration management functions. The position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship. The listed shift is Shift 1. Travel is 15%. Relocation is available based on candidate eligibility. The role is not contingent upon a program award and is not an Export Control or Safety Sensitive position.

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. A U.S. clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active.
  • 7+ years of experience performing software integration with hardware, firmware, and other software, including coordination with interfacing technical teams.
  • 7+ years of experience developing and applying integration readiness.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Top Secret clearance.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Background supporting complex aerospace, tactical aircraft, or other high-performance defense or military development programs with significant software and hardware integration.
  • Familiarity with laboratory, system integration, hardware-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, or similar representative integration environments.
  • Demonstrated success working across multiple disciplines and organizations to integrate software products in shared environments.
  • Experience coordinating technical activities across multiple teams or organizations.
  • Skill communicating software integration status, risks, and recommended actions to technical teams, integration stakeholders, and program leadership.
  • Ability to communicate clearly under pressure, make sound decisions with incomplete information, mentor junior engineers, and maintain credibility during technically complex integration issues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program-wide planning and coordination of software and lab readiness across on-site, virtual, and remote integration environments, aligned with program priorities, schedules, and milestones.
  • Identify approved software baselines, versions, interfaces, capabilities, and environment requirements needed for planned integration, test, and demonstration activities.
  • Coordinate software availability and insertion timing so approved software is available in the appropriate environment when needed.
  • Assess software compatibility within each environment, including interactions with other software, interfaces, infrastructure, and system configurations.
  • Assess and drive resolution of software conflicts, dependency gaps, and baseline mismatches; coordinate mitigation of environment-readiness risks across onboard systems, ground systems, mission systems, support systems, training-related environments, and shared infrastructure.
  • Establish practical entry criteria, software-readiness expectations, and compatibility checks for software entering shared integration environments.
  • Partner with software configuration management to understand approved baselines, release content, version status, and planned changes that affect readiness and compatibility.
  • Communicate program-level software and lab readiness status, compatibility risks, and recommended actions to technical teams and senior program leadership.

Benefits

  • Eligible employees may enroll in health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and programs providing paid and unpaid time away from work.
