About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate to gather and review software requirements, design Spring Boot microservices, implement event-driven architectures with Kafka, Jumpstart, and automate tests. This role involves utilizing tools such as Azure pipeline, AEH, JUnit, Mockito, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven, and Jenkins. The engineer will ensure quality, security, and observability through unit/integration testing, logging/metrics (ELK), input validation, and operational best practices including GitHub, Jira, and resource tuning. They will execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages, create and execute automated test plans/strategies, and collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients to validate test environments, data, and results. The role also includes designing and implementing code fixes, validating outcomes, producing associated reporting, and supporting applications by solving configuration and environmental issues, as well as supporting the software deployment process.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation
Collaborating to gathering and reviewing software requirements
Designing Spring Boot microservices
Implementing event-driven architectures with Kafka, Jumpstart
Automating tests
Utilizing tools including Azure pipeline, AEH, JUnit, Mockito, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven, and Jenkins

Working on dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing

Responsibilities
