Applied Intuition is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Developer Studio. The role is responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of a large-scale, cloud-hosted, full-stack platform used to build and test vehicle applications. The engineer will own and maintain backend systems for the Workbench platform, including core services that support reliability, uptime, and stability in a distributed cloud environment. The position involves developing scalable infrastructure and performance improvements for high-throughput workloads, reducing latency, and removing bottlenecks across compute and virtualization layers. The engineer will lead architectural design for major platform components, including system redesigns, technical tradeoff analysis, and long-term scalability planning, and will provide technical leadership on complex initiatives while contributing to engineering standards and best practices. The role also requires close collaboration with infrastructure, virtualization, and tooling teams to integrate requirements and ensure compatibility across development workflows. The engineer will contribute to customer-facing features and developer workflows in Workbench, including automation that improves developer efficiency and reduces iteration time. System hardening work includes secure-access considerations and reliability safeguards for production stability and operational safety. Applied Intuition is an in-office company. Full-time employees are expected to primarily work from an Applied Intuition office five days per week, with flexibility for occasional remote work and schedule adjustments. This expectation does not apply to contractor positions.
