About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer designs, develops, modernizes, and supports enterprise applications that are critical to Colonial Pipeline business operations. This position combines hands-on software engineering with long-term ownership of production systems, including new feature development, cloud modernization, operational support, and continuous improvement. You will help shape future-state architecture while ensuring the reliability, performance, and supportability of business-critical applications.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science.
7–9 years of professional software development experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise software applications.
4–6 years of demonstrated expertise in Angular or modern front-end development and C#/.NET development.
7–9 years of experience developing REST APIs, integrating front-end and back-end components, working with relational databases, and supporting business-critical production systems.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve software delivery, code quality, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and engineering productivity.
Experience troubleshooting complex production issues and participating in operational support or on-call activities.
Ability to lift 20 pounds from floor to waist.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Angular, .NET, and C#.
Build and enhance Angular- and Blazor-based user interface components for enterprise applications.
Develop and consume RESTful APIs and backend services.
Design and implement solutions using Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Microsoft Entra ID, and cloud-native architecture patterns.
Help modernize legacy applications using cloud-native and other modern architecture patterns.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that follows software engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with strong ownership and follow-through.
Perform code reviews and contribute to overall engineering quality.
Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, quality assurance professionals, and other engineers to deliver effective solutions.
Support CI/CD pipelines and modern software development lifecycle practices.
Provide production support, including participation in on-call rotations, incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive improvements.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership through design reviews, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.
