About The Position

CoreWeave is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Network Development team, which builds and operates software platforms and services that provision, configure, automate, monitor, and heal the network supporting CoreWeave’s GPU cloud. The role involves designing, developing, automating, and maintaining networking software and infrastructure, including writing code, creating configuration templates, designing dashboards, building CLI tools, and collaborating with Network Engineering and Network Observability teams. The engineer will own the design and long-term health of network automation platforms and services, plan complex projects across multiple months, guide technical decisions, and deliver well-tested, documented software in Python and Go. The role also focuses on improving reliability and operability through service-level indicators and objectives, automation, and reduced manual toil. The engineer will work across teams, join the on-call rotation after ramping up, contribute to blameless incident follow-up, mentor colleagues, and support a collaborative team culture. This position requires access to export-controlled information. Applicants must meet the stated U.S. person or export authorization eligibility criteria. The base salary range is $165,000 to $220,000, with starting compensation determined by job-related factors and location. Total rewards may include a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits, subject to eligibility.

  • Strong understanding and experience with CI/CD, including testing, code review, and maintaining continuous builds and deployments.
  • Strong understanding of managing runtime health for enterprise-level services and applications.
  • Hands-on experience with process automation, toil elimination, workflow automation or orchestration systems, and automated device provisioning at scale, such as Zero Touch Provisioning.
  • Strong planning skills, including driving projects across a multi-month horizon and managing concurrent efforts as part of a team.
  • Well-reasoned technical opinions, with openness to other ideas and input.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing and subnetting, routing and switching, NTP, and DNS.
  • Comfort with Linux and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and Jinja; a source-of-truth or IPAM and DCIM system such as NetBox; and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
