About The Position

DTC’s many software engineering teams build applications for the web, mobile, tablets, connected TVs, consoles, and other streaming devices. The Boundary Services team is responsible for building and maintaining the Gateway, Service Mesh and a few microservices that provide common functionality to the client and backend services. We are a fast-growing, global engineering group crucial to WBD’s future. We are hiring a senior software engineer who will solve problems related to API gateway concerns, cross-cluster service meshes, authentication/authorization, and the management of large-scale Istio deployments across many AWS accounts. The engineer will design processes/workflows, with the help of a collaborative team environment using modern, rigorous software development practices that emphasize testability, repeatability, and self-service automation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience with technologies used on our stack including Python, K8's, Terraform, bash, and CI/CD systems
  • 3+ years' experience with Cloud Technology (AWS or Azure preferred) or strong familiarity and demonstrated ability to become expert
  • Familiarity with networking concepts in microservice architectures
  • 1+ year experience with AI technologies
  • A passion for building developer tooling, automation, and platform solutions that will deliver improvements for our internal and public customers
