Senior Software Engineer
About The Position
The Senior Software Engineer works in application development in a financial services organization delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation. The role involves utilizing experience in multi-tiered applications designed, developed, and delivered as cloud-based solutions, leveraging the Microsoft Stack (.Net Core, .Net Framework, MS SQL Server), and working with Cloud Native and Microservices applications using technologies such as REST, JSON, .Net Core. Experience with ETL Tools (SSIS, Informatica), Reporting tools (SSRS, Tableau, Crystal Reports), unstructured data persistence models (MongoDB, Snowflake, Redis), and data streaming technologies (Kafka) is also key. The role requires proficiency in DevOps toolsets (Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins), Test Driven Development, CI/CD and DevOps concepts and tools (TeamCity, Octopus, Ansible, Terraform), library management tools (Artifactory), and front-end frameworks like Angular or React.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or another related field.
- Five (5) years post-baccalaureate experience working in application development in a financial services organization delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation.
- Five (5) years of experience in multi-tiered applications that are designed, developed and delivered as cloud-based solutions.
- Five (5) years of experience in Microsoft Stack including .Net Core, .Net Framework, MS SQL Server.
- Five (5) years of experience in Cloud Native applications.
- Five (5) years of experience in Microservices applications using technologies such as REST, JSON, .Net Core.
- Five (5) years of experience in ETL Tools like SSIS and Informatica.
- Five (5) years of experience in Reporting tools like SSRS, Tableau, Crystal Reports.
- Five (5) years of experience in Unstructured data and persistence model such as MongoDB, Snowflake, Redis.
- Five (5) years of experience in Data streaming technologies like Kafka.
- Five (5) years of experience in DevOps toolsets for versioning, containers, such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins.
- Five (5) years of experience in Test Driven Development.
- Five (5) years of experience in CI/CD and DevOps concepts, tools like TeamCity, Octopus, Ansible, Terraform.
- Five (5) years of experience in Library management tools like Artifactory.
- Five (5) years of experience in Angular or React.
Responsibilities
- Develop code based on reading and understanding business and functional requirements following the Agile process.
- Produce high-quality code to meet all project deadlines and ensuring the functionality matches the requirements.
- Analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle.
- Coordinate changes with project team leaders and cross-work team members.
- Provide technical support to project team members and responding to inquiries regarding errors or questions about programs.
- Interact with architects, technical leads, team members and project managers as required to address technical and schedule issues.
- Suggest and implement process improvements for estimating, development and testing processes.
