About The Position

JLL’s Citizen AI team builds AI products used by JLL employees, including JLL GPT. The Senior Software Engineer will be a hands-on engineer on the team in Boston, writing production code daily, using AI tools as a primary way of working, and shipping features to a broad user base. The role involves building on JLL’s AI platform, including its LLM gateway, shared RAG services, and MCP tools, and partnering with product and design to turn requests into working software.

The position is on-site in Boston, Massachusetts. It does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Expected compensation is $160,000–$200,000 per year, with final compensation determined by qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.

Requirements

• Production software experience in Python or TypeScript/Node.
• Experience building features with LLMs, including prompts, RAG, or agent workflows.
• Experience with REST APIs, cloud services, and CI/CD.
• Daily use of AI coding tools as a core part of the workflow.
• Clear written English and ability to work well across time zones.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the Claude Agent SDK, MCP, or LLM observability.
• React experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features for Citizen AI products from design through production and monitoring.
• Build on JLL’s AI platform, including its LLM gateway, shared RAG services, and MCP tools.
• Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar for design, coding, testing, and review.
• Work with product and design partners to turn requests into working software.
• Fix defects quickly and improve tests, observability, and developer tools.
• Follow the AI ecosystem and bring useful ideas back to the team.
