Senior Software Engineer - Internal Only
About The Position
The Interview Experience team owns user flows that enable employers and job seekers to connect for an interview on Indeed’s platform and beyond. We’re looking for an experienced full-stack software engineer to help us design, build, and launch improvements to Indeed’s web applications for enabling employers to schedule and conduct interviews with job seekers. The team’s current focus is in greenfield exploration aimed at providing instant interviews for qualified candidates, and, as a member of this team, you’d have significant influence on the technical and product direction for this exploration. In addition to this work, you will also play a key role in helping us evolve our front-end technical stack to enable us to better solve customer problems.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or a PhD without experience
- Experience building or contributing to large-scale or distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core computer science fundamentals.
- A demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability for delivered work.
- Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and enjoyment of solving complex technical problems.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain features and services that support core business workflows.
- Contribute to the evolution of existing systems while helping prototype and deliver new capabilities.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions to maintain quality, reliability, and clarity.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data partners to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Identify performance and scalability improvements and enhance existing code accordingly.
- Share knowledge and provide guidance to teammates through collaboration and feedback.
- Communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively within the team.
