About The Position

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company focused on transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology, leveraging AI-powered operating systems like Lattice OS for real-time command and control. The Anduril Intelligence Systems (AIS) team aims to be a leading provider of specialized engineering and products for Intelligence Community (IC) customers, understanding their requirements and delivering critical capabilities for national security. The Mission Software Engineering team is responsible for building, deploying, integrating, extending, and scaling Anduril's software to deliver mission-critical capabilities to customers. These engineers work closely with customers and end-users to solve technical challenges in operational scenarios, owning the end-to-end delivery of capabilities such as Counter Intrusion, Joint All Domain Command & Control, and Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will tackle diverse problems in networking, autonomy, systems integration, and robotics, making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs. Your role ensures Anduril products work seamlessly for critical outcomes, driven by a "Whatever It Takes" mindset to deliver successful, high-quality results expediently. You will not only build the software but also work with customers to deploy it.

Requirements

Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
Experience with C/C++, Go, and other common Object-Oriented languages
Experience with Linux systems, containerization, and systems programming
Experience with distributed systems
Experience or interested in building software solutions running on embedded, edge, and disconnected devices.
Capable of solving complex technical problems with little oversight
Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
A desire to work on critical software that has a real-world impact
Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

Own the software solutions that are deployed to customers from inception to deployment
Write code to build products and scale the mission capability to more customers
Collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality
Create and analyze metrics that are leveraged for debugging and monitoring
Partner with end-users to turn needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints
