About The Position

Social Finance, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Seattle, Washington. The role leads development and testing of system components and services, contributes to product architecture, and delivers highly available and scalable production services. The engineer works with project leads, product managers, and software developers, while mentoring engineers and helping grow the team. Part-time telecommuting is an option; the role is hybrid and based at SoFi’s Seattle offices.

Requirements

Master’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline.
Three years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
Software engineering proficiency applied to object-oriented programming, infrastructure-as-code, software design, and data structures.
Relational database experience, including PostgreSQL and SQL.
Experience with backend frameworks including Spring Boot and Spring Framework, and the Mockito testing framework.
Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and continuous integration/continuous deployment tools.
Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
Experience in a collaborative coding environment using Git, including refining designs, writing tests, participating in code reviews, and managing pull requests.
Experience with observability, monitoring, or log analytics platforms, including Kibana.
Experience with workflow orchestration, including Temporal.

Responsibilities

Mentor other engineers, support the technical culture, and help grow the team.
